Overview
Prominent gang leader Cyrus calls a meeting of New York's gangs to set aside their turf wars and take over the city. At the meeting, a rival leader kills Cyrus, but a Coney Island gang called the Warriors is wrongly blamed for Cyrus' death. Before you know it, the cops and every gangbanger in town is hot on the Warriors' trail.

The Warriors are a street gang based out of Coney Island, and the events of the game/movie cover their interactions with the other gangs of New York. The game is a tie-in to the movie, explaining the backstory of the Warriors leading up to and concluding alongside the events of the movie. This is a good game, and not just "for a movie game".
