Overview
When tyrannical dictator Josef Stalin dies in 1953, his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to become the next Soviet leader. Among the contenders are the dweebish Georgy Malenkov, the wily Nikita Khrushchev and Lavrenti Beria, the sadistic secret police chief.

The parody of tyranny begins in 1953 with the death of Stalin. The film opens with a concert of Mozart being performed in Moscow. Stalin for some reason loves Mozart but has not attended the concert. Instead, by diktat, he wants a recording of the concert made on a vinyl LP and sent to his dacha immediately.
